October Team and Youth Forum day

31st October saw the Hampshire Youth Parliament, Councils and Forum members enjoy a productive team day at the headquarters of Hampshire County Council, Ashburton Hall, Winchester.

Starting with an update from the Hampshire Health & Well-being board on the Joint Local Health and Well-being Strategy (JLHWS). This gave the young people the chance to feedback their views on the strategy.

This was followed by an interactive workshop by Havant Borough Council, led by Nick Rogers, Consultation & Engagement Officer and his team on their Active Well-being project.

The afternoon forum session was spent discussing with decision makers from across Hampshire on the topic of “Jobs, Money and Opportunities” with specific focus on youth volunteering and skills development.
