Hampshire Youth Parliament Members head to Warwick

The Annual Conference is key event in the UK Youth Parliament calendar, it was the opportunity for Members of Youth Parliament from across the UK to come together to discuss the National Campaign and local campaigns. To debate and change national manifesto policy, take part in skills workshops and network with peers and keynote speakers and the opportunity for Q&A.
Hampshire Youth Parliament were well represented at the UK Youth Parliament Annual Conference with five MYPs attending.
It supported and enabled Hampshire's youth voice on a national platform, ensuring our young people can influence national debate and decisions.
It contributed to the development of HYP through capacity building, developing each MYP’s skill set, empowering and developing young leaders, networking and sharing of best practice and training for our project lead.
Over 25,000 young people across Hampshire voted in this year's consultation. The young people of Hampshire voted Climate Change and the Environment as their top issue for 2024 which has been the top issue for Hampshire since 2019.
